NPP NATIONAL EXECUTIVES HAS PERFORMED POORLY WITHIN THE LAST FIVE MONTHS IN OPPOSITION, GAP-F FINDINGS
A current research findings by the Ghana Academic Professionals forum(GAP-F)has shown that the current leadership of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has performed abysmally 5 months in opposition
By the findings,the Minority MP’S in parliament has performed creditable better than NPP as party ,pointing out that the MP’s has constantly stood to the feet when it comes to debate of national interest at the floor of Parliament.
Speaking to the media, Professor Isaac Boadi, Convenor for GAP-F, alluded that without a credible opposition, a ruling Party always takes things for granted, adding that a good opposition always keeps the government checked.
According to him, the opposition party normally sets the agenda for government, but the New Patriotic Party has failed to so,allowing the government to rather set the tone for a debate.
The associate professor in finance at the Faculty of Accounting and Finance at UPSA urged the opposition New Patriotic to put their internal party structures in place and also provide a national alternative agenda in helping to shape the country.
