MP PAYS COURTESY CALL ON TRADITIONAL LEADERS AHEAD OF OHUM FESTIVITIES

The Member of Parliament MP for Fanteakwa South constituency,Hon. Duke Ofori Atta has paid a courtesy call on Nananom of Mumuadu in the district as they prepare for the upcoming Ohum Festival.


The visit led by the MP included the former District Chief Executive Ernest Ofosu,the New Patriotic Party Constituency Chairman Maxi Kwadjo Appiah and other Constituency Executives.

The delegation visited various palaces within the Fanteakwa South District to wish them God’s blessings and peace as they are about to observe the ohum festival and also thanked the chiefs for their fatherly role played with their collective ideas shared to the development of the District.


They requested the chiefs to remember the District in prayers as they perform the festival’s ritual, the items presented to the chiefs were; Schnapps, create of drinks, bottled water and an undislosed envelope with money to assist them serve their visitors during the festival.

On his part,Paramount Chief of Osino Traditional Area,Osabarima Otu Darko lV, in response, expressed appreciation to the MP for remembering the Traditional Authorities


Osabarima Otu Darko lV, used the occassion to called on the MP to lobby for well trained professional teachers for the schools in the district,adding that it would strengthen the educational structures and build on the quality of education given to the students in the district.
