KWAHU WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS TO FIND SOLUTIONS TO FULANI ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA

 

The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly has engages Fulani Communities at the Kwahu West Municipality in the essence of finding solution to their activities as well as advised them to comply with the Assembly’s bye-laws that regulate their activities and movement across the Municipality.

At the stakeholders engagement with MUSEC, the Kwahu West Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon Tamimu Halidu,has asked Fulani’s to ensure that they adhere to the laws of the land and upon deliberating on the challenges presented, Hon. Tamimu stressed it as a matter of urgency to implement the bye-laws, which will regulate Fulani activities.

He appealed to them to address Fulani Chieftancy disputes among themselves to ensure peaceful coexistence between them.

Moreover, he said the activities of Fulani’s have become a major concern in the Municipality, which some of them have been a result of murdering others during the shooting incidents that occurred at Nkawkaw Zongo

Hon. Tamimu Halidu expressed worry about the misunderstanding and disturbing incidents among the Fulani’s he vowed to implement policies that align with the by-Laws.

In Furtherance, emphasised that unity and collaboration are essential for the progress and the entire community to join hands in achieving a shared vision for development to safeguard the interests of Fulani’s to promote peace and ensure that they can coexist without dispute.
