RENOWNED JOURNALIST SAMUEL OFORI BOATENG DONATES EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO BECE CANDIDATES

A Kumasi-based journalist, Mr. Samuel Ofori Boateng has donated essential educational materials to pupils and candidates of Atobrakrom D/A Primary and Junior High School in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region.

The donation included over 200 mathematical sets for the 2025 BECE candidates at the Atobrakrom D/A JHS, as well as exercise books, pens, and school uniforms for pupils of the Atobrakrom D/A Primary School. The initiative was aimed at promoting effective teaching and learning in the community.

During the presentation ceremony, Mr. Ofori Boateng used the opportunity to caution the BECE candidates against the use of harmful substances such as tramadol, urging them to stay focused on their academic journey. “Education is your future. Avoid tramadol and concentrate on your books,” he stated.

Receiving the items, Mr. Listowel Oppong Fosu, Headteacher of Atobrakrom Primary School, expressed his appreciation to Mr. Ofori Boateng for generous support. He appealed to the government, NGOs, and other stakeholders to help complete an ongoing teachers’ bungalow to enhance teacher accommodation and retention in the area.

Some of the BECE candidates also thanked Mr. Ofori Boateng and promised to justify the support by passing their exams with flying colours.
