E/R,,LIVESTOCK SELLERS IN KWAHU WEST APPEALS FOR GOVERNMENT SUPPORT TO HELP IMPROVE THEIR BUSINESS
Providing a dedicated space for the buying and selling of livestock market aimed to improve the efficiency of cattle, Sheep and Lamb trade which is one of the largest livestock markets to help safeguard the future by represents a significant investment in boosting Revenue mobilization in the livestock trade at “Nkawkaw – Oframase” in the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, Eastern Region, cattle Sellers association has called on the Kwahu West MCE to come to their aid.
Speaking to Alhaji Gariba Osman,on behalf of the Cattle sellers,he expressed, the new market was created by the local developers to support the livestock trade in Kwahu West and according to him it’s about 4 acres that’s is 20 plots of Land Livestock Market, that can take 2500 Cattle when the project completes and Creates dozens of indirect jobs of over 200 workers which the Sale commence at 5Am and End 5pm every Tuesday’s one’s in a week and stressed the newly created Market is an investment in the livestock arm for the economic stability of the area.
Alhaji Gariba Osman, therefore appealed to the Kwahu West MCE_Hon. Tamimu Halidu,to provide them with some needed incentives such as construction of a place of Worship, Car Parks, Toilet and Urinal facilities, Accessible market stores and provide them with Security,* Whiles, used the opportunity to called on on all to considered the livestock market to be the cheapest and smooth flow of Meat processors at the yard with good presentation of guiding principle of Vertinary being supervise of cattle/ sheep and lambs leading the way in sales.
On his part, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Kwahu West Municipal Assembly,Hon.Tamimu Halidu, entreated, the initiative as huge projects and entrusted the Assembly have a major role to play in the plan decision making procedures to impressed the approach to ensure the continuing growth of the market noting, he is confident that it will bring large number of buyers to the Municipality and Boost Revenue mobilization.

Tamimu,assured to provide the place with Security, Accessible Car Park, Place for Worship, Toilet Facilities and all the needed incentives to safeguard the ability of the market to make a living since it’s of major importance development and recognises it as the massive agriculture sustainability to strengthened the commitment and investment made in the new market to create job opportunities for the benefit of a much wider community and above all congratulated those involved in this project to secured such wider place for livestock marketing in the area and he look forward all to patronize at the livestock new market every Tuesday.
