The president nominee for the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, Samuel Adongo, has received overwhelming approval from the Municipal Assembly members
In his inaugural address, Samuel Adongo thanked President John Dramani Mahama for trusting him with such an important position and being part of his administration to serve him at the local government level.
“The mandate ahead of us is clear; we must work together to enhance the quality of life for every resident of New Juaben North,” he noted.
“This indicates that by investing in critical infrastructure and promoting sustainable economic development, ensuring access to quality education and healthcare, and fostering a safe and secure environment for all,” he continued.
According to him, education is the backbone of every developed country, as a result, he would advocate for improved educational facilities and resources to enable the children in the municipality to have access to quality education that will equip them with the skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.
The New Juaben North MCE mentioned that healthcare is also another crucial area that demands our attention. Together with his team, they will work towards improving healthcare facilities and services in the municipality, making sure that every resident has access to quality healthcare delivery without facing insurmountable costs.
“Preventive healthcare initiatives will also be prioritized as we strive to promote healthier lifestyles among our citizens,” he stressed.
In addition, Adongo stated that safety and security are fundamental rights that every citizen of this country should enjoy. So, together with the relevant authorities, they would implement measures to ensure public safety.
In his closing remarks, he extended his appreciation to his Assembly members, who fully endorsed his candidature as MCE with 100%, and assured them he would work with them to transform and bring more development to the municipality.
The Member of Parliament for the constituency, Nana Osei-Adjei, promised that he would work collaboratively with Samuel Adongo to lobby for developmental projects for the residents in the area.
He also commended the assembly members for not looking at the political colors of Samuel Adongo and giving him a 100% endorsement, and this shows that they are united and hungry for development.
