The Fanteakwa South District has officially confirmed Mercy Korang as the new District Chief Executive (DCE), following a successful confirmation ceremony held at the District Assembly Hall by securing a remarkable 100% percent endorsement from the Assembly Members.
The well-attended ceremony brought together the Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Duke Ofori Atta, Assembly Members, Traditional authorities, both Political party representatives and residents creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity and anticipation for progress under the new administration.
In her acceptance speech, the newly elected District Chief Executive (DCE) for Fanteakwa South District, Hon. Mercy Korang, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the President, the Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South contituancy,the leadership of the NDC, and the entire Assembly for entrusting her with the mandate to serve.
She pledged to lead a development-focused administration and appealed to all to join hands in devoloping Fanteakwa South Districts by acknowledged the significant task ahead with the importance of unity and cooperation in addressing the District challenges whiles assured residents of her commitment to the Principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability.

He called on the DCE Hon. Mercy Korang, to work wholeheartedly to ensure inclusiveness and unity for all.
In Furtherance, the Eastern Regional Minister,Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, commended the Assembly Members for their overwhelming support of Hon. Mercy Korang, nomination and described the outcome as a testament to the Assembly’s dedication to the government’s “Reset Ghana” agenda and emphasized the need of prioritize the long-term interest of their communities over personal gains.
