TENSION LOOMS IN ATWIMA NWANBIAGYA SOUTH AS PARTY EXECUTIVES REJECT FORMER PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE FOR MCE POSITIO
There is growing tension among members of the ruling National Democratic Congress over the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), with party executives agitating and opposing former Parliamentary candidate Osei Wisdom Boama who allegedly orchestrated the defeat of the NDC in the Atwima Nwanbiagya South constituency.
According to the aggrieved party executives, they are very disappointed and angry that this same individual will be presented for vetting for consideration for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), adding that it will aggravate the wounds of the NDC party in the future.
Speaking to the media at a press conference,The National Democratic Congress NDC chairman for Atwima Nwanbiagya South Abu Saddick said, the party executives cannot work with the former Parliamentary candidate Osei Wisdom Boama since he is not competent enough to occupy the MCE position.
“We are calling on the national executives to listen to us and consider any other person in the race.” He said.
Meanwhile the Atwima Nwanbiagya South woman organizer Hajia Fati Adams said, The Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP), which provides free daily meals to public primary school pupils, is reportedly under threat in the Atwima Nwanbiagya South constituency.
According to her, some people have sold the school feeding to unknown people on which it must be investigated by the party national executives.
