Easter in Kwahu is another time of fun, although it is an occasion celebrated by Christians worldwide, in Ghana, the hype surrounding the celebrations is also loud for the people of Kwahu in view of their use of the period as a homecoming festival and has become an international event which attracts hundreds of tourists that gives them memorable experiences during the Easter festivities and Kwahu Tafo has lunched it’s traditional heritage bestowed on them by their forefathers many years ago.
According to Organisers, on behalf of the Commitee, Nana Kwame Akuoko,* the Kwahu Tafo Easter Commitee Secretary._ Who read the script expressed this year’s Kwahu Tafo Easter 2025, will see massive Carnivals, merrymaking, traditional heritage and unveiled activities outlined for the commemoration of the event scheduled for April 18 to 21, is under the theme:”EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES, CELEBRATING CULTURE, DRIVING ECONOMIC GROWTH.”*
The announcement, made at a vibrant stakeholder meeting, outlined key initiatives aimed at introducing a new unique cultural concept called ‘NANTE3’*(TRADITIONAL WALK) from the forebearers of Kwahu Tafo journeyed and arrived at where they are now.
In Furtherance stressed, to boost the festivities some of the activities you can enjoy this Easter season at Kwahu Tafo this year, includes,Mix Tradition, community engagement, Tourism, Sports, Health Walk and Health Screening, Cooking Compitition, Entertainment with artist like, Akwaboah and many more Musicians* to spice up the activities which starts from 18th, Good Friday.
On his part,Mr. Francis Anum Boateng,the Kwahu Tafo Easter Commitee Chairman,said people are expected to visit and participate in this year’s event at Kwahu Tafo to have a memorable experience and revealed plans to upgrade tourism facilities and enhance Kwahu Tafo Easter.
