Former Finance Minister, Dr. Amin Adam has warned the current Finance Minister, Dr. Ato Forson against manipulating figures as it will push investors away.
Speaking during a press conference on Thursday, March 13, 2025, Dr. Amin Adam accused the current Finance Minister Dr. Forson of manipulating figures in the recent 2025 Budget.
According to him, creating such false figures will not do the country any good as it will create a negative impression about the country’s financial situation and this, drive investors away.
“… if you cook figures to create a narrative to run your country down, international investors will show you where power lies,” he stated.
Dr. Amin Adam encouraged the government to be transparent in all its data presentations, calling on the Finance Minister to make amends to any mistakes he made in the 2025 Budget.
