The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has officially denied any involvement in the raid on the former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s resident.
Addressing the press on Wednesday, lFebruary 12, 2025, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng denied the allegations, emphasizing that the OSP was not involved in the raid.

This briefing follows incidents that happened on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, where some group of people clothed in military attire stormed the residence of Ken Ofori-Atta in Cantonments.
According to reports, Ken Ofori-Atta has been out of the country for medicinal reasons, as the Chief of Staff was fully aware of his travel.
”Mr. Ofori-Atta, the OSP did not raid your house on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, or on any other day. Mr. Ofori-Atta, the OSP did not cause any person, however uniformed, to raid your house on February 11, 2025, or any other day,” he declared.
“That could have been the OSP, and that is not our style. If the OSP enters your premises, you will not be in doubt as to where the OSP had come from, and your lawyers will not have cause to inquire as to whether it was the OSP
OSP Agyebeng added that the OSP has a unique methods of searches and those procedures are specifically designed to identify themselves.
”We have our unique methods of searches that are specifically designed to identify ourselves, not just by stating we are from the OSP,” he explained.
The OSP further stated that the purported raid of Ofori-Atta’s residence was either staged or was conducted by imposters who in an attempt wanted to disfavor the OSP and derail the investigation.
Our intelligence points us to state that the purported raid of Mr. Ofori-Atta’s residence staged or at best, an imposter action in an attempt to cause disfavor for the OSP and to derail the investigation,” he said.
The OSP, according to Mr. Agyebeng, will not be stopped from conducting its investigations as prescribed by law.
The OSP is never deterred by such occurrences and the investigations will continue as prescribed by law
