Minister of Energy, John Jinapor, has revealed the country’s commitment to leading Africa’s energy transition whilst advancing sustainable development under the leadership of His Excellency, John dramani Mahama.
To him, the government of Ghana is committed to embarking on the progressive path towards ensuring that Ghana achieve renewable and sustainable energy, not just for Ghana, but for Ghana to serve as a reliable hub for the entire West African sub region.

Speaking at the ongoing Africa Prosperity Dialogue 2025 in Accra,the says a successful energy transition hinges on the availability of skilled labor and expertise, and therefore Ghana is prioritizing the development of its human resources through targeted training and providing the needed education.
He added that Africa’s energy future cannot be shaped by individual countries alone and by working in isolation, adding that Energy is the blood of Africa’s single market, and there is the need to collaborate and work together.
He is of the view that to unlock the full potential of Africa’s energy it will help power Africa’s progress and secure a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come.
