Assembly members from the various electoral areas in Akyem Oda constituency in the Eastern region have called for support to assist the Akyem Oda district police station (popularly called Number 9) renovation as it hasn’t seen any major renovation since it was built in 1928.

This call from the assembly members in Akyem Oda constituency came in after being hinted that all the inmates at Oda number nine district police cells have to been relocated to other neighboring police station cells due to lack of septic tank for waste storage at the police station.

The assembly members led by Hon. Papa Yaw Nyarko Amoah took it upon themselves, and with the help and support from others, they constructed a new septic tank and officially handed over to the Oda number nine district police command.

Hon. Papa Yaw Nyarko Amoah speaking to the media has divulged that the Akyem Oda number nine district police station lacks so many things of which he is appealing to everyone to come and assist them to put the place into good shape.

He also added that the police station hasn’t seen any major renovation since it was built in 1928, therefore Akyem Oda indigenes living home and abroad and other corperate institutions should as a matter of urgency come to assist them to renovate the police station.
