The New Patriotic Party (NPP) unequivocally condemns the recent wave of vandalism, hooliganism, abuse of power, intimidation, violence, and assaults perpetrated by elements within the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

These reckless and barbaric acts, which are creating unnecessary tension in the country, must not go unchecked.
We call on the President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and his government to demonstrate true leadership by publicly condemning these shameful actions and taking the necessary steps to restore order and sanity in our dear country.

Furthermore, we urge the public, traditional authorities, religious leaders, and the diplomatic community to join us in denouncing these acts of violence and lawlessness.
Ghana has always been a beacon of peace and democracy, and such conduct threatens to erode the very foundations of our democracy.

We also call on the security agencies, particularly the Inspector General of Police (IGP), to exhibit professionalism and impartiality in addressing these acts of lawlessness. The security services have a constitutional duty to protect all citizens and uphold the rule of law.

We expect swift and decisive action to restore order and ensure the safety of all Ghanaians, including public servants who are forcibly being ejected from their offices and residences by marauding NDC thugs without any justification.

The insecurity, unlawful evictions, violent invasions of private homes and offices, car seizures, and the general atmosphere of fear and instability are not healthy for our cherished democracy.

As a nation, we cannot allow a transitional government to plunge the country into chaos. Ghanaians must stand up and unequivocally condemn the NDC’s orchestrated violence.
We urge President Mahama to take immediate steps to exhibit leadership to protect the peace, stability, and respect for the rule of law.

We will continue to hold him and his government responsible and accountable.until they restore these values.

Signed
Justin Kodua Frimpong
General Secretary
