The National Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Osman Ayariga, has launched a scathing attack on President Nana Akufo-Addo and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing them of misleading Ghanaians into believing they would alleviate the country’s challenges.
Speaking to market women, hairdressers, and locals during a visit to the Amasaman Constituency, Mr. Ayariga claimed that the NPP presented Akufo-Addo as a visionary leader, only to see the country regress under his administration.
Mr. Ayariga stated that Ghanaians placed their trust in President Akufo-Addo based on his campaign promises but have since witnessed a betrayal of that trust.
“We will not make this mistake again,” he declared, emphasizing that the upcoming elections on December 7 will be an opportunity to vote the NPP out of power.

He also criticized Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, for failing to deliver on his promises as an economic expert.
Mr. Ayariga accused Bawumia of shifting focus to digitalization instead of addressing pressing economic issues, questioning, “What have Ghanaians done to you that you now want to take us to be fools?”
In his address, Mr. Ayariga urged the people of Amasaman to support the NDC and reject the NPP, asserting that after eight years in power, the ruling party has nothing left to offer Ghana.

George Asare, the Youth Organizer for the NDC in Amasaman, echoed Mr. Ayariga’s sentiments and pledged to work collaboratively with community members, chiefs, and stakeholders to drive development in the constituency.
He reiterated the NDC’s commitment to youth empowerment through initiatives like the National Apprenticeship Program, which aims to provide free education for those interested in skills training.
