The Incoming Member of Parliament for Krowor, Ing. Emmanuel Laryea Odai has presented 500 Metal dual desks to the Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Krowor Directorate to be distributed to all basic schools in the Municipality.
These desks were handed over to the Municipal Director of Education on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krowor Assembly, Hon Joshua Bortey, and the NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Joseph Atta Gyimah were present to grace the occasion.
Addressing the press, Ing. Emmanuel Laryea Odai noted that his core value is to eradicate the non-furniture situation in the Constituency, as it has greatly affected both the learning and comfortability of students.
According to him, providing schools with these metal dual desks within the constituency will improve on learning and the infrastructural system of the schools.
The Municipal Director of Education, upon receiving the items, stated that the items were donated at the right time to solve the infrastructure challenges in most of the schools in the Municipality.
He thanked Ing. Emmanuel Laryea Odai and assured that his office would ensure all schools practice proper maintenance to ensure the longevity of these desks.
