The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has held its second Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to pave way for political parties to engage with the EC ahead of the upcoming elections.

During the meeting, the Chairperson of the Commission, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensah, announced that a revised version of the provisional voters’ register will be distributed to political parties and independent candidates on external hard drives for scrutiny.

According to her, this step is aimed at allowing stakeholders to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in the register.

She added that the revised exhibition of the provisional voters’ register is scheduled to take place from October 15 to October 19, 2024.

Mrs. Mensah assured political parties and the general public of the Commission’s commitment to conducting free, fair, credible, and transparent electoral processes.

In her address, she emphasized the importance of collaboration between the EC and political parties to enhance the integrity of the electoral process.
