President of Justice for Humanity, Meagan McLaren, popularly known as Obroni Yaa Asantewaa, has urged political leaders to refrain from claiming credit for their achievements as the country approaches critical moments.

Instead, she emphasized the importance of advocating for peace and unity.

In her remarks, McLaren stated that “unity is the foundation of success,” asserting that a nation’s prosperity hinges on the level of peace it experiences.

She criticized the tendency of politicians to focus on personal accomplishments during such pivotal times, arguing that it detracts from the collective effort needed to foster harmony.

“Now is not the time for I; I did this, I did that. That is not the time for that,” she stressed.

McLaren highlighted that unity allows citizens to confront common challenges and work towards shared goals that promote national development.

She encouraged all Ghanaians to prioritize unity over individual recognition, stating that this collective approach is essential for achieving the peace and development the country deserves.
