The Akuapem Mangoase Traditional Area is set to celebrate the Odwira Festival for the first time on November 9, 2024, following extensive discussions among traditional heads to resolve disputes surrounding the event.
The theme for this year’s festival is “Building of Ultra-Modern Youth Center.” This is to pave way for the community to solicit for funds to see to the construction of the center.
During a press engagement, Nana Yoofi, the Kyidomhene of the Akuapem Mangoase Traditional Area, emphasized that this inaugural celebration will be filled with fun activities and excitement.
He encouraged Ghanaians, particularly the youth, to participate in various planned activities, including sports, health walks, and community cleaning exercises.
Nana Yoofi urged locals to avoid any disputes that could hinder the festival’s success and the overall development of the community.
He expressed optimism that the festival would foster unity and joy among participants while highlighting the importance of community engagement.
