Evangelism remains a central tenet of Christianity, emphasizing the importance of sharing the message of Jesus’s love, redemption, and salvation.
This commitment was highlighted during the 9th Biennial Archdiocese Conference, where Christian mothers and fathers gathered to discuss strategies for positively influencing both youth and adults within their communities.
National president of the Christian Mothers’ Association, Mrs. Essuman, emphasized that the conference was not merely a one-day event but part of a series of initiatives aimed at fostering spiritual growth.
According to her, the activities commenced with a singing competition that saw participation from 38 parishes in Kumasi, supported by Mr. Anderson.
She confirmed that the competition concluded with Old Tarfo being crowned as the winners.
She further stated that the second day featured a spiritual retreat, facilitated by Father Owusu Ansah, the Spiritual Director from Obuasi.
This retreat, she revealed, aimed to deepen participants’ faith and encourage personal reflection.
Mrs. Essuman added that the following day showcased a cultural display organized in various deaneries, celebrating the rich traditions and values of the community.
The final day of the conference was marked by the presence of dignitaries, including Most Rev. Gabriel Justice Anokye and the Vice Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
They delivered keynote addresses and participated in the opening ceremony of a newly constructed school dedicated to street children—a project initiated by their predecessors 27 years ago.
The dignitaries urged attendees to support this noble cause through financial contributions, material donations, and prayers to ensure its completion.
This conference not only sought to strengthen community ties but also aimed to inspire collective action towards nurturing the next generation in faith and values.
