Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to construct a sea defense system and a mini harbour for the people of Sege if elected as the next President of Ghana.
This commitment, according to him, aims to address the ongoing challenges posed by tidal waves that have severely impacted Sege and its surrounding areas, while also fostering economic growth through improved infrastructure for the local fishing industry.
Speaking during a tour of the Greater Accra Region, Bawumia highlighted the urgent need for development in Sege, emphasizing its strategic position as a fishing hub.
He stated that critical infrastructure is essential to protect the livelihoods of residents and enable the community to thrive economically.
Bawumia noted that constructing a mini harbour would modernize the fishing industry in Sege, facilitating better trade and market access for fishermen and traders.
