We will not sit idly by while the NPP cheats us- Alhaji Sinari

A Former Ambassador to Saudi Arabia during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) era, Ambassador Alhaji Said Sinari, has issued a strong warning that NDC members are prepared to resist any intimidation and brutality during the upcoming general elections.

Speaking at a town hall engagement organized by the NDC Zongo Caucus in the Abirem Constituency, he emphasized that they will not allow the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to take what rightfully belongs to them.

Alhaji Sinari’s remarks come as the NDC solidifies its base ahead of the 2024 elections, where he urged party members to remain vigilant against any attempts at electoral fraud.

“We are ready to resist any intimidation and brutalities because we will not sit idly by while the NPP cheats us,” he stated.

In support of this sentiment, Alhaji Mahammed Nurudeen Fuseni, the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for Abirem, appealed to voters to support him and the party in the upcoming elections.

He highlighted the achievements of the previous NDC government in areas such as education, health, and infrastructure, urging constituents in Zongo communities to return the NDC to power to continue its developmental agenda.

Additionally, the Chief of Akyem Maamaso, Nana Kofi Adaakwah, called for peaceful campaigning among politicians to ensure a violence-free election.

He encouraged Ghanaian youth and Zongo communities to disassociate themselves from electoral violence, underscoring the importance of maintaining peace during this critical period.
