Government Spokesperson for Security and Governance, Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, has asserted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lacks both the financial resources and energy to run an effective campaign.
According to him, that is the main reason why they are resorting to protests and other tactics.
Speaking on Hot FM’s Morning Drive with Don Kwabena Prah Jnr, he emphasized that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has sufficient funding for its campaign efforts due to contributions from numerous donors across the country.
He says the NDC has no money and energy to hold effective campaigns, which is why they are engaging in a three to four-hour protest instead of traditional house-to-house campaigning that requires more time and effort.
He insisted that the NPP’s resources are not merely a result of being in power but stem from the goodwill of supporters who believe in their agenda.
The NDC is set to demonstrate tomorrow, September 17, over alleged discrepancies in the voters’ register, calling for a forensic audit to ensure electoral integrity ahead of the December elections.
In contrast, Dr. Boakye-Danquah criticized the NDC’s approach, suggesting that their inability to mobilize effectively reflects a deeper issue within the party as they prepare for the upcoming electoral contest.
