The Institute of Energy Security, IES is estimating a reduction in fuel prices in the upcoming pricing window, commencing Monday, 16 September 2024.
According to COPEC, the average reduction across petrol, diesel, and LPG is expected to be approximately 2 to 5%, providing relief to consumers.
Diesel is likely to fall to GH¢13.642 per litre and LPG is likely to fall to GH¢15.345 per kilogram. These reductions according to IES are due to prices of petroleum products dipping on the international market.
Even though the reduction may be a little small, it may cause prices of fuel to stabilize for at least two weeks.
