The incumbent Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency, Gifty Twum-Ampofo, who was recently defeated in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries, has denied reports suggesting she is considering running as an independent candidate in the upcoming December elections.
She assured the NPP and its supporters of her unwavering commitment to help retain power in the general elections.
In her statements, Twum-Ampofo emphasized that despite her loss in the primaries, she remains dedicated to the core values of the party and will do everything within her means to support its victory.
She made these remarks while speaking with the media on the sidelines of the “My First Day at School” initiative, where she also encouraged parents to engage with teachers to foster a positive attitude toward education among children.
