Independent Candidate Bishop K. Denoo files nomination to contest Amasaman Parliamentary Seat

Bishop K. Denoo, an independent candidate for the Amasaman Constituency, has successfully filed his nomination forms to contest for the parliamentary seat.

Addressing the media shortly after the filing, he expressed confidence in his ability to lead the constituency, highlighting his commitment to the people and his track record of generosity.

In his statement, Bishop Denoo outlined several initiatives he has already implemented in the community, even before officially entering the race.

He emphasized that these efforts demonstrate his capability to effect positive change and his potential to do even more if elected.

“My main aim for contesting this parliamentary seat is to gain legitimate power to lobby for more developmental projects for the good people of Amasaman,” he stated.

One of the key initiatives he has introduced is fish farming, which he believes can create significant job opportunities for locals.

He explained that he encourages individuals to establish small fish farms, each starting with about 200 fingerlings. This venture can generate approximately GHC 4,500 monthly, supplementing the income of those already employed.

“When I am talking about jobs, I am talking about fish farming. Individuals are supposed to have a small fish farm with about 200 fingerlings. Which means, every month, you’re getting about GHC4,500, addition to the job they’re already doing,” he explained.

In addition to fish farming, Bishop Denoo has also initiated a work-and-pay motorcycle distribution program.

This scheme aims to empower locals by providing them with motorcycles, enabling them to become entrepreneurs.

He plans to register all “okada riders” under a single enterprise, facilitating tax payments to the government and addressing various issues surrounding motorcycle transportation in the area.

Bishop Denoo reiterated his dedication to supporting vulnerable groups within the constituency, including widows, persons with disabilities, and the less privileged.

According to him, his vision for Amasaman is rooted in generosity and a commitment to uplift the community through sustainable initiatives and economic empowerment.
