The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has announced that the party and the Greater Accra Police Command have agreed to the routes for the upcoming demonstration scheduled for September 17, 2024.

Speaking to the media after a meeting with police officials, Kwetey explained that the demonstration will commence at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, proceeding through Farrisco Traffic Light, TUC, Ministries, and ending at the premises of the Electoral Commission.

The protest aims to address concerns regarding discrepancies in the voter register ahead of the December elections.

Mr. Kwetey emphasized that this demonstration transcends party lines, highlighting its significance for all Ghanaians in the context of maintaining a credible electoral process.

According to him, if the EC has nothing to hide, they should be able to open their doors and welcome any party that demands a full report and accountability on the register.

The NDC is calling on Ghanaians to join forces in this demonstration, asserting that it is critical for the peace and democratic processes of the country.
