Electoral Commission of Ghana has outlined certain processes that are followed in the running and verification of presidential candidates in the 2024 general election.
Addressing the media during a press conference, EC Chairperson, Jean Mensah revealed that without these processes, the commission cannot run the 2024 general election.
According to her, every presidential candidate must complete and sign four copies of nomination forms and must be signed by not less than two persons, who are registered in area of authority at the district assembly.
She stated that a presidential candidate is also required to designate a person to serve as a vice presidential candidate.
Jean Mensah says the Commission has established two teams which have been tasked to review all nomination forms and they each perform specific roles in the elctoral process.
