The 5th edition of PruRide 2024 took place on September 1st at the Black Stars Square, showcasing a highly competitive atmosphere across four categories: Elite Male, Elite Female, Amateur Male, and Amateur Female.
Nigerian cyclists excelled in the event, particularly in the Elite categories, demonstrating remarkable endurance and skill.
In the men’s Elite division, which covered 100 kilometers, over 100 cyclists participated. Nigerian cyclist John Gabriel emerged victorious, claiming a cash prize of GH¢ 15,000, along with a trophy, medal, and certificate.
The top ten finishers in the men’s Elite division were:

- Michael Naada (Nigeria): GH¢ 8,000, trophy, medal, certificate
- Osei Dickson (Ghana): GH¢ 5,000, trophy, medal, certificate

The oldest male cyclist, Christian Adeibo, received a trophy and GH¢ 1,500 for his participation, while the youngest, Philip Ayensu, also received GH¢ 1,500, a certificate, and a trophy.
In the female Elite category, cyclists covered 60 kilometers, with all podium finishers representing Nigeria. Treasuoe Coason claimed first place, earning GH¢ 10,000, along with a trophy, medal, and certificate.

Both the oldest and youngest female cyclists, Patient Otuodung and Mary Sunday, received GH¢ 1,000, a trophy, and a medal for their achievements.
The amateur cyclists, covering 20 kilometers, saw the highest participation with over 300 competitors.

In the female amateur category, Femke Vandev Bos won with a cash prize of GH¢ 2,000, a trophy, and a certificate. Abigail Tetteh and Ama Adade followed in second and third places, respectively.
All participants in the 2024 PruRide received a gold medal for their involvement, marking the event as a successful celebration of cycling and community spirit.
