The statement was made when Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) Commissioned a completed Laboratory facility for the Larttey Health Center in the Akuapim North District, Eastern Region.

Commissioning the Laboratory, Mr. Daniel Wilson Addo, Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) explained, that upon hearing the challenges of the Larttey Health Center the Bank decided to mobilize resources to establish the laboratory facility to improve quality healthcare and help mitigate the numerous healthcare delivery challenges in the Larttey community.

On her part, the Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services Akuapim North District Mrs. Regina Akweley Kluchie, said the absence of a laboratory the affected quality of healthcare delivery since lab test is an integral part of the medical diagnosis and treatment process.

She expressed, that the Larttey Health Center serves many surrounding communities, however operates without a lab facility, so, therefore, patients were mostly referred to Dodowa or Koforidua for basic lab tests, which the stress and transportation cost forced some of the patients to abandon treatment and never returned to the facility.

She therefore Commended the Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) for the intervention while, hinting that efforts are underway to get more resource facilities to upgrade Larttey Health Center to a Poly Clinic status as planned 5 years ago.

In Furtherance, Nana Akwei Odianim V, Akuapim Benkum Kontihene, on behalf of Larttey chief who doubles as Akuapim Benkum-hene, Nana Asiedu Okor Ababio lll, commended the Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) for demonstrating their commitment to improve the living conditions of the people with various interventions and projects.

He thanked the Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) for providing such relief to the community as well as the health facility and used the occasion to call on the Citizens of the Larttey community occupying big positions in institutions and other stakeholders to help with their lobbying skills in developing their communities.
