Mrs. Nancy Amewowor, National chairperson of the National Union Ghana Catholic Catechist Association (NUGCCA) has advised Catechists to respect the Reverend Fathers they are working with at various Parishes to improve their service in the Lord.
Mrs. Nancy quoted the theme for the 3-day Conference, “Role of Catechist in the Catholic Church” so they should know their role and play it well for the Church to grow.
She cited an example that most of the catechists sometimes quarrel with the Fathers on little issues that can be solved and others also speak about age which is needless. She stated that no matter how old you are as a Catechist, you’ll have to respect the Father at your Post because he is your leader and you helping his work to flourish.
She said that if the Catechist understands this simple thing and lives peacefully with their Fathers in the Church, they will move to the next level.
