GreenPulse, an environmental advocacy group, has launched the GreenPulse Youth Initiative, which seeks to empower young people to help drive a positive environmental change.
Addressing the media during the launch at Teshie Presby Senior High School in Accra, the founder of the group, Gabriel Opoku Darko, indicated that the formation of the group is keen to changing narratives when it comes environmental pollution and positive environmental changes.
According to him, it is important to tackle climate change however, there is a need to empower the young ones in order for them to develop a genuine desire to take action within their communities.
He stressed that the forum would empower young leaders to bring their ideas to life and drive positive environmental change.
Mr. Darko stated that this youth forum will educate young leaders on how to handle waste properly, as well as to see the need to keep the environment clean for the betterment of themselves and the country at large.
