The Director of Administration at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Fred Effah-Yeboah, has called on Ghanaians to set aside political differences and support the government in enhancing healthcare delivery through the provision of necessary logistics.
He emphasized that many lives could be saved if essential health supplies were consistently available, and he recognized that the government alone cannot meet all infrastructure and equipment needs.
Mr. Effah-Yeboah, who also holds the title of Twafo Hene of Buoryem in the Techiman North District, donated a significant amount of medical supplies to the Buoryem Health Center.
This donation included 1,500 disposable syringes, 200 pairs of sterile gloves, 200 EDTA tubes, rolls of cotton wool, containers of liquid soap, and various other essential items.
Mr. Effah-Yeboah appealed to Ghanaians to stop politicizing matters of health and contribute their quota to the health sector because that is the only way to bridge the gap.
The Chief of Buoryem, Daasebre Kwarteng Amaniampong, received the donations and urged the health center staff to utilize the supplies effectively for the benefit of their patients.
Physician Assistant in charge of the Buoryem Health Center, Abdul Jalil Halid, expressed gratitude for the timely donation and called for ongoing support to enhance the facility’s capabilities.
