EC announces Voter Exhibition Exercise from August 20-27

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that the voter’s exhibition exercise will take place from August 20 to 27 at all polling stations nationwide

This was disclosed by the Deputy EC Chairman of Corporate Services, Dr. Bossman Asare, during a press conference at the EC headquarters on Monday, August 19.

Dr. Asare stated that the exercise aims to remove mistakes from the voters register and make it credible for the 2024 general elections

The prime goal is to help voters identify their polling stations, and it is crucial that all registered voters visit their exhibition centers to verify their names.

During the exercise, voters can make the following requests:

  • Inclusion of omitted names
  • Objection to names of unqualified voters on the register
  • Removal of names of deceased voters
  • Replacement of poor quality or damaged voter ID cards
  • Correction of wrong spelling of names
  • Correction to wrong registration voter quotes
  • Amendment to other registration details

The EC also announced that eligible voters can check their names and details in the register via a short code 71151#, which will be available during and beyond the exhibition period.

The exhibition exercise is necessary to sanitize the voters register and ensure its credibility ahead of the crucial 2024 general elections.

The EC is urging all registered voters to actively participate in the process to confirm their eligibility and polling station assignments.
