Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has stated that the party’s governance track record is very superior to that of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its leader, John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking at the NPP’s manifesto launch in the Western Region on August 18, 2024, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the party’s achievements in areas like infrastructure, healthcae, digitalization, Free Senior High School policy, One District One Factory initiative, amongst others.

He encouraged party supporters to take pride in the NPP’s achievements as they prepare and campaign for the upcoming elections, as these achievements serve as evidences of the party’s commitment to reviving Ghana to its best position.

Dr. Bawumia echoed that these achievements does not only prove the party’s commtiment to serving the interests of Ghanaians but it also underscores the party’s superior governance compared to the NDC, particularly in managing the economy during global crises like the COVID-19 pandemic and rising inflation.

He stressed that the NPP government has been able to govern the country properly by implementing policies that have helped alleviate hardship and promote recovery despite the harsh effects of COVID-19.

The Vice President stated categorically that while the NPP government has strived to position Ghana at its best level, the NDC government has failed drastically in fulfilling its promises in areas like power and economic stability.

“If there was any doubt, I believe it is crystal clear from the data-backed account we have given that our overall performance and track record are superior to that of my opponent and his party in virtually every sector,” he said.

Bawumia also seized the opportunity to call for unity and dedication within the party.
