AHEAD OF ELECTION, PARENTS URGES TO GUIDE CHILDREN AGAINST ELECTORAL VIOLENCE Ablekuma Asafoatse.

The Asafoakye of Ablekuma, Asafoatse Otubuor Onsuro-Gya, has charged parents and guardians to caution their children against fomenting trouble capable of truncating the election processes during December polls.

He gave the advice during the traditional leaders and other key Members of Sempe Mensah Family of Ablekuma, performed cleansing rituals to their gods and ancestors to purify the Atmosphere in others to pave way for this year’s Homowo Festival.

According to him, no politician will allow his children to participate in electoral violence but they will rather send other people’s children out to engage in violence before, during and after elections.

Additionally, the Mankralo of Ablekuma Nii Okasa ll, further explained, the concept of the purification and the spiritual cleansing as to remove any spiritual influences or oppression that may be present during the celebration of the Homowo Festival.

He also urged the youth to shun violence, whiles charged parents and guardians to caution their children against fomenting trouble capable of truncating the election processes during December polls.

Finally, the Ablekuma “WOLOMO” Nuumo Ojobi, expressed that, prior to the Homowo celebration, they first seek permission from their deities and ancestors by
performing cleansing rituals of the land and their homes, to prevent any spiritual forces, both positive and negative, acknowledging the need for their divine protection, guidance and ensures that no influence of uncleanness remained.
