In a THEME: FOSTERING UNITY, A TOOL FOR DEVOLOPMENT OF DWENEASE.

Barimah Bɛyɛɛ-man Gyakyi-sei ll, Chief of Akyem Dwenease Addressing his people at the Durbar expressed that, the Dwenease Community is faced with a lot of Devolopmental challenges in an areas of Educational infrastructure, Lack of Water challenges and mentioned in particular the effects of Galamsey activities in the Community and it environs as a big problem bothering the people of Dwenease, so therefore used the occasion to called on President Nana Akuffo Addo for Security Taxforce to help fight the Galamsey activities in the area.

In Furtherance, Barimah Bɛyɛɛman Gyakyi-sei ll, also Cautioned the people of Dwenease as well as the youth not to allow themselves to be used to foment trouble or perpetuate any form of crime and disruptions Before, During, and After the December elections.

On her part, the Queen mother of Akyem Dwenease,Nana Appeaa Sarpong Kumankoma l, added her voice by expressing worry about the School children prioritizing galamsey at the expense of their education in the Community and she entrusted, some parents are uncooperative because their children bring them money when they go and mine.

Nana Appeaa Sarpong Kumankoma l, to reverse this disturbing trend, the traditional authority of the community have proffered some sanctions to parents who look on for their children to do galamsey at the expense of their education and any child caught doing galamsey instead of being in school, his/her parents would be fined and the children would be also punish, becuase Nananom wants their children to be educated for a better future.
