Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has stated that mobile money interoperability will help increase the continent’s financial growth and address challenges associated with intra-African trade.
He made this assertion today at the Africa Prosperity Network mobile money interoperability Symposium in Accra.
The New Patriotic Party flagbearer alluded that mobile money interoperability could serve as an alternative to common currency for Africa.
According to him, mobile money interoperability across the continent will allow Africans to trade among themselves without difficulties.
Dr. Bawumia called on African governments to drive the initiative,” without political will, it is not likely to achieve mobile money interoperability”.
