The regional technical meeting for Component 1 of #FSRP with the English-speaking beneficiary countries opened on July 4, 2024 in #Accra (#Ghana). Around twenty participants from #Ghana and #SierraLeone will take part until July 5, 2024 to review the implementation of Component 1 of the FSRP in the two respective countries. Following the example of the previous regional technical meeting with French-speaking countries, this meeting will examine the successes and challenges of the actors involved. Recommendations will also be made by the participants.
At the opening ceremony, the Head of the “Climate, Water and Weather” department of the AGRHYMET Regional Center thanked the participants for their commitment to the success of the meeting. Dr Abdou Ali appreciated the importance and objectives of the meeting: “This meeting will allow us to understand the needs of the countries and take them into account.” In his official opening remarks, the National Coordinator of FSRP in Ghana, Mr. Osei Owusu Agyeman, said: “We must come together to fight food insecurity. That’s why we came together.”
