Ola Girls Senior High School at Kenyasi in the Asutifi North District of Ahafo Region, has won the 2024 Energy Commission Senior High School Renewable Energy Challenge.
The Fifth (5th) Edition of the Energy Commission Senior High School Renewable Energy Challenge which was on the theme Application Of Renewable Energy Technology In Solving Land Degradation And Water Pollution saw six Schools taking part out of the seven School since Samuel Oto SHS at Techimantia couldn’t show up.
The Six Schools who battle for the 2024 Regional best at Bechem Presbyterian Senior High School campus obtained the following points Boakye tromu SHS – Duayaw Nkwanta – 61.3%, Presec – Bechem: 65%, Acherensua SHS – Acherensua: 70.3%, Ahafoman SHTS – Goaso: 73.5%, Serwaa kese Girls – Bechem: 76%, Ola girls SHS -Kanyasi: 81:3% at the end of the contest.
Senior Manager for renewable energy Regulations and Coordinator for Senior High Schools Renewable energy challenge, Mr Julius Nkansah Nyarko spoke to SULLEY DRAMANI, and commend the students.
Mr Nyarko has also be explaining the aim of the program and the way forward.
