The Nkawie forest Service Division manager of Forestry commission, Mr Abraham Essel has hinted that, the division has hits its target seedlings for 2024 Green Ghana Day tree plantation program by planted over 429,723 seedlings showing significant cooperation between key stakeholders and forestry commission in the district.

According to him, Nkawie forest division targets to plant 340,000 tree seedlings but has managed to plants over 429,723 tree seedlings.

He maintained that, the commission is focusing on protecting some river bodies in the district.

He used the occasion to appealed to stakeholders to help protect our water bodies and trees in the forest reserve.
