National Democratic Party close nominations for flagbearership race for the 2024 general elections.
According to the party leadership, they are optimistic about electing party’s flagbearer.
Speaking with the media when Nana Osei Mensah Bonsu and his team came to file their nomination for the flagbearership race at the party’s headquarters at Kokomlele in Accra today, General Secretary of NDP, Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong outlined the party’s preparation ahead of the upcoming 2024 general election.
He said , today being the last day for closure of nominations, so far three candidates has filed their nominations for flagbearership race and out of the three, two male and one female.
He however added that, after receiving the nomination forms, he will submit the forms to NEC to scrutinized it to the standard of the party hence encourage it approval for vetting .
He concluded that, founder and leader of the party, Dr. Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings will not contest for the flagbearership race at the party’s national conference as well as becoming the flagbearer in the upcoming 2024 general election.
National Democratic Party (NDP) , Ashanti Regional Chairman,Nana Aduse Poku Agyemang who filed the forms on behalf of Nana Osei Mensah Bonsu, described his candidate as a man of boldness and selfless gesture in serving his people and the country as a whole .
He however mentioned that, when voted into government, they will launch credible investigations into all corrupt practices and ensuring the prosecution of all persons who are complicit in these corrupt practices.
He therefore said , we wished to bring out good governance to the doorsteps of Ghanaians and Nana Osei Mensah Bonsu will spearheaded it.
