Adams reported to the Bohyen Police on November 22nd, 2023 that he had been attacked and robbed by three unidentified men who stole a Mossberg Pump Action gun with registration number T-118948, which belongs to Nana Abosomakotre.
After Police interrogations, Adams later admitted to the crime and named Richard as the Person who borrowed the gun from him in exchange for 2,500 for his father’s funeral.
State prosecutor, ASP Newlove Adjei Pleaded with the Court to Punish the two accused for deceiving a public officer and stealing from their boss.
The Presiding judge, His Honor Stephen Kumi, sentenced Adams who is 25 years of age to 42 months of imprisonment or a fine of 3,600, and his accomplice was sentenced to 30 months of imprisonment or a fine of 3,600.
The Presiding judge’s lenient sentence was based on Nana Abosomakotre’s open forgiveness he confessed before the court.
Nana Abosomakotre, the Chief of the Wala tribe in Wenchi and the leader of Abosomakotre Herbal Centre paid 3,600 for his subordinate Osman Adams as a sign of genuine forgiveness for the errors committed.
