Founder and leader of Isreal King of Jews Church ,Prophet N’Akoa Nazareth Jamson Ansah has revealed that, palm branches are used to commemorate the light and victory into the world.
It also to commemorate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. As Yoshua(Jesus Christ) rode into the city on a donkey, his followers laid palm branches at his feet and called him “Hosanna” or “savior”.
According to him, The palm branches symbolized victory and triumph at the time.
Addressing the church gathering at the church premises on Sunday 21, April ,2024 in Accra, for the observation of palm Sunday, Prophet N’Akoa said that, the palm branches symbolized goodness, well-being, grandeur, steadfastness, and victory. The palm branches also symbolized the Jewish’s cry to be freed from oppression and powerlessness. Their only hope rests in (Yosuah) Jesus. (John 12 : 12 – 15)
He therefore reiterates Christians used the palm branch to symbolize the victory of the faithful over enemies of the soul. Palm branches are used in Christian worship on Palm Sunday to commemorate Jesus Christ’s Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem.
As part of the annual Passover celebration in the Jewish calendar, Isreal King of Jews church will hold it Passover on Thursday 25th April ,2024 at church premises dubbed:” Deliverance and Total Liberation of God’s People”.
