Reverend Father Emmanuel Salifu urged every Catholic diocese to train their children to achieve their beliefs in Christ.
In an interview with Rev.Fr. Emmanuel Salifu said, “We looked at two things during the program.” The first one is the Bible and its teachings in our various beliefs in the world. In Ghana, for instance, we have Muslims, traditional believers, and other religions.
When you go from house to house, you can notice that the father is a Muslim. The mother doesn’t go to church, but he goes to church, so how will he cooperate with both parents. When he goes to school, his friend is a Muslim and another is a traditional worshiper how can they cooperate and what does the Bible teach about that, one thing we want to draw attention to is how they can stay for long and that means their beliefs are the same because we are worshipping one God so if I turn to be a Muslim is nothing and thus what we want to teach them for them to understand that the beliefs are different and Christianity too is different, do not allow you to insult anyone who is not in your religion you have to respect them and show them your the light and you want to add your light to their’s.
Secondly, we wanted them to understand the Bible so that they can also explain when we say the Bible is an inspiration, which means God gave the wisdom to humanity to write the Bible.
All this will help our children to understand the Bible so that I can help them in their beliefs.
If we don’t do it that way, the children will not have any belief because they won’t understand.
When you look into our world nowadays, many people are preaching against the Bible that the Bible is not correct so if we do not teach the children how the Bible is they will end up following those false statements about the Bible.
Every diocese in the country will have to be organized so that every child will get the opportunity to study the Bible, and within years, then we can say we have taught many children about the Bible.
