CHANGING THE TRUE HISTORY OF GHANA WITH FALSE PUBLICATIONS IN BOOKS OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM USES FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING AND RENAMING INFRASTRUCTURE BUILT BY OPPONENTS TO NAMES OF PAST NPP FUNCTIONARIES IS VERY DANGEROUS TO OUR PEACE AND STABILITY.
The Caucus For Mature Democrats is very disappointed and wants to express our revulsion in President Akufo Addo’s deliberate attempts to plunge our country into chaos that can cause irreparable damage to the state after mismanaging, opulently wasting our $20,000 per hour on foreign luxury private jets and burying the little left on a Cathedral Ghanaians never requested from the president.
On Thursday 7 March 2024, the Caucus monitored Power 97.9 FM radio station where a new basic Ghanaian history book was read the contents were unfortunately very misleading, and in our view, if not immediately corrected can cause irreparable damage to the state.
It sought to change the narrative where Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah changed the name of the state from GOLD COAST to GHANA and replaced it with JB Danquah as the person who named GHANA rejecting GOLD COAST the colonial masters placed on our country. The Caucus sees that as replacing historical facts with FALSEHOODS.
Additionally, the president during his speech at the 67th Independence Day celebration at Koforidua, again sought to twist the existing facts in our history books about Tetteh Quarshie, a Ga Dangbe man, born in Osu with some roots from La Badi who brought cocoa beans to Ghana from Fernando Po. He said Tetteh Quarshie was from Ashanti Mampong which has since been vehemently debunked and refuted by an official release signed by the president of the GaDangbe council.
Furthermore, he had earlier sought to rename the Tamale International Airport as YAKUBU TALI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT which was also vehemently rejected by YAA NAA ABUKARI the current overlord of the Dagbong Kingdom, stating that, renaming it to the proposed person could create serious problems he can’t solve.
Tali is one of the villages of Tolon and Tolon is only one of the many countless Towns and villages under the overlord of Dagbong including Nanung, Mamprugu, and Moshie among others. He therefore suggested or proposed to the president to rename it as GBEWAA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT since the late Tolon Naa Yakubu Tali was a subordinate chief to NAA GBEWAA.
It is very regrettable to the Caucus For Mature Democrats as a Civil Society Organisation in support of accountable governance, equal rights to justice, fair development, and balanced sharing of the national cake to see all that unfortunate happening under and by a self-acclaimed human rights lawyer and activist. We want to take this opportunity to encourage all other Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to tirelessly monitor with keen interest and to speak out against such irresponsible acts or utterances that can destroy our peace and stability within the twinkle of an eye.
We must reject, and report any dangerous move by any person or group of persons who develop the evil mind to do things that have the propensity to destroy the peace and stability of the nation without looking back to see whether that is good for this generation and other generations yet unborn or not.
Finally, we advise all Ghanaians to focus on the upcoming general elections with a very positive mindset asking ourselves, how we arrive at a collapsed economy. CORRUPTION AND MISMANAGEMENT
How come BoG made such huge losses within a single year? CORRUPTION, MISMANAGEMENT AND ILLEGAL PRINTING OF MONEY
Why must we be wasting money on a Cathedral when individual bondholders go through haircuts, losing interest in their investments? IT IS NOT TRUE THAT $58 MILLION WENT INTO THE PIT. A LARGE PART OF IT IS DIVERTED TO PRIVATE POCKETS.
Why must the president receive a 70% salary increase when only 4% is thrown at the public sector workers in the past? THE PRESIDENT’S DISREGARD FOR LAWS, AND PROCEDURES, AND ARROGANCE CAUSED IT.
Was the economic collapse avoidable? YES, VERY AVOIDABLE HAD THE PRESIDENT LISTENED TO GHANAIANS STOPPING HIM FROM THE $20,000 PER HOUR WASTE.
To avoid falling into a similar trap that collapsed the central bank and our economy, we urge all Ghanaians to reject NPP, no matter who they present, and support H.E John Dramani Mahama to implement the 24-hour economy, to change our sinking economy back on the path of stability, growth and prosperity.
JM and NDC will change the hardship, suffering, and hunger of Ghanaians to one full of smiles and happiness. He has been tried and tested and he excelled. We trust JM and NDC and we urge you to Trust him too. Let us all come out in our multitudes on 7th December 2024, and massively vote for JDM and NDC. You will smile voting for him and would NEVER be disappointed like JACK TORONTO the Kwaku Tia disappointed and led us to this mess.
