NPP’s National Youth Organizer Calls for Strong Response to NDC’s Insults

In a fiery speech delivered yesterday, Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), urged members of the TESCON Branch at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and the broader NPP youth to stand firm against derogatory comments made by members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), specifically targeting their General Secretary, whom Mustapha labeled a “tribal bigot” whose stock in trade has been to incite tribal comments over the years.

Addressing a gathering of young party faithful, Salam, affectionately known as SM, emphasized the need for a robust and proportional retaliation against any insults directed at the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He underscored the importance of unity and resilience among the youth in facing opposition criticisms, advocating for a response that doubles the intensity of any verbal attacks received.

Further stirring controversy, Salam critiqued the NDC’s Presidential Candidate, Mr. John Mahama, questioning his competence during his tenure as President of Ghana. Salam starkly compared Mahama to a sexually weak man who ejaculates in under one minute. He said “Dr. Bawumia who represents the Future has a clear vision for Ghana; unlike Mahama, the 1-Munite man who will do Pitri-Pitri, then Yooor”. A comment that is sure to raise eyebrows and possibly incite heated discussions within political circles.

Salam Mustapha’s remarks reflect the high tensions and the often personal nature of political discourse in Ghana. As the political atmosphere heats up, his call to action for the NPP youth to defend their leaders vigorously showcases the deep-seated rivalries between Ghana’s leading political parties.

The repercussions of such statements on the political climate and the upcoming electoral processes remain to be seen. Critics argue that such bigotry from the NDC General Secretary and his ilks only serves to deepen divisions and detract from the substantive issues facing the nation. As Ghana moves closer to another election cycle, the focus on policy over personal attacks may become a rallying cry for those seeking a more constructive political dialogue.

This latest development is a clear indicator of the escalating political rivalry in Ghana, setting the stage for what could be a highly charged lead-up to the next general elections.
