Thousands of People in Kumasi were present at the Jubilee Park early on January 24, 2024, to support former President, John Mahama at his 24-hour-Economy Walk.
The meaning of this “24-hour economy” is that the Former President, John Mahama is contesting on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, NDC gave a speech about how he will run Ghana’s Economy when he is elected, and in his talk, he mentions 24-hour-economy which mean that the next NDC government will run a 24/7 government to boost Ghana’s Economy and also create more job opportunities.
After the walk, Mahama addressed his sympathizers and questioned some bad responses from the government anytime Ghanaians Complain about Ghana’s current situation. He cited Afigya-kwabre poor road where the President gave a cheeky reply when he was asked, He spoke about the President’s disrespectful response to a traditional leader in Ho when He asked Nana to complete some E-Blocks in his jurisdiction, and lastly, his address at Mepe after they faced a Man-made disaster.
The Former President stated that the NDC is now a united party after the internal election and they are poised for power. He made it clear that the NDC will treat Ghanaians better than what the Akuffo-Bawumia Administration is doing.
He appealed to the general public to choose the NDC and John Maham for a massive facelift in all sectors of Ghana.
