Abraham Amaliba, the Director of Conflict Resolution of the National Democratic Congress, has criticized President Akufo-Addo for confessing that he intentionally neglected the development needs of the people of Ekumfi.
The President made this statement during a meeting with the family of the late President Atta Mills at the Jubilee House. Akufo-Addo indicated that he did not pay attention to the development needs of Ekumfi because the constituents voted the then NPP candidate, Francis Ato Cudjoe, out of Parliament in the 2020 elections.
Amaliba expressed disapproval of the President’s statement, suggesting that instead of criticism, Akufo-Addo needs prayers.
He highlighted that the President faced backlash for similar comments made in Mepe. Amaliba called for prayers for Akufo-Addo, emphasizing the need for collective support rather than criticism in light of his statement about neglecting the development needs of Ekumfi.
