The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has pledged to review the Disability Act with the aim of establishing a more inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities.

Mahama envisions creating conditions that enable people with disabilities to thrive in Ghana, ensuring they have access to amenities on par with those available to everyone else.

This commitment was made during a town hall meeting where Mahama engaged with representatives of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) to gather input for the formulation of the NDC’s 2024 manifesto.

The former President expressed concern about the delay in implementing measures to improve accessibility after a participant in a wheelchair faced challenges accessing the platform at the town hall event.
